Verb
These are words that show the action or support the words that show actions. Action can be both physical, or mental. (ये वे शब्द हैं जो क्रिया दर्शाते हैं या उन शब्दों का समर्थन करते हैं जो क्रिया दर्शाते हैं। क्रिया शारीरिक अथवा मानसिक दोनों हो सकती है।)
Action Verbs: These are used directly to describe actions. They include: Hunt, Run, Speak, Talk, Walk, Turn, Drive, Drink, etc.
Linking verbs: These words link a sentence’s subject to the complement. For example, felt, is, been, seem etc.
Auxiliary verbs: Assist the main verb of the sentence. For example Shall, must, would, could, might, may etc.
Irregular verbs: Past and Past participle forms of the verbs can be made by adding “-ed” to the root verb. Examples: Add, Pack, Talk etc.
Regular verbs: The root verb is modified while making past and past participle verb forms.
Example: Run, Fly, Buy etc.
These are the major types of verbs you should keep in mind while learning the subject.
